Thomas Kuppler has a beautiful series, [ p lat] that uses Polaroids as abstract objects.
The objects we have in the gallery are small, colorful pieces printed on aluminum.
About [ p lat] –
In the series [p lat] I experimented with Polaroids, tracing their development from the latent image to the final visible.
These different manifestations are at the same time a metaphorical expression of what one “sees”. One sees what one wants to see. A photographic image can therefore never be certain of its content. It changes within the “seeing and thinking” of the viewer, like the Polaroid changes within its developing process; a constant interaction between the visible and invisible, between perception and cognition.
The prints are available in the gallery in editions of 5 with 2 AP’s.
Each priced at $900.
The prints are sized at 10×12 inches or 7.5×13.
Larger sizes are available, contact us for information.
