It is a pleasure to represent a talented and prolific artist like Ryuijie Douglas. His work focuses on the beauty that surrounds us, whether it is his quiet landscapes, underwater worlds or his exceptional new work, the images I have surrounded myself with this month, Color Ice Forms.
It is spring in the gallery. Jardin, our current exhibition contrasts the subtle, quiet landscapes of Janelle Lynch, with the vibrant rich color of Ryuijie Douglas’ Color Ice Forms. These bold prints, printed to 30×40 inches become abstract, rich with detail, dense color and organic texture, line and form.
These images make me happy, make me not think about my hay fever and constant sneezes from the blooms, but let me revel in spring and natures beauty in macro detail.
