About Between

We are children searching and wandering
Haunted by our longing to belong

We dream, we love, we live, we mourn
Between the ever present and the unknown

In the Clouds

Early in my career, a colleague made a statement I’ve never forgotten…”the only constant is change”. My career as an artist and photographer has spanned over 50 years, and I’m always fascinated with the endless possibilities. Early work was steeped in the classic and pictorial style of the early pioneers, and this aesthetic served me well, but the past few years brought realities dealing with loss and pain, and the art has shifted to a darker side.

Disguised

My work whether soft and ethereal or dark and disturbing is a journey both with subject and technique that is a continuation of my curiosity, and life experiences. I use many old world processes including bromoil, and oil glazing, to enhance and alter the photographic image to a subtler art form, and I’ve found creative magic in the contemporary digital medium to depict the mystery and allure of my images.
