About Chang Kyun Kim –

Kim was born in 1974 in South Korea. He received his MFA in Photography from Parsons The New School for Design in New York City, MS in International Studies and BA in Literature from Chung-ang University, South Korea.

He was awarded as one of the ‘Regeneration 2: Tomorrow’s Photographers Today’ by Musée de l’Élysée in Switzerland, which resulted a five-year travelling exhibition throughout the world and his work was published by major art publishers and magazines such as Aperture(US), Thames & Hudson(UK), teNeues(Germany), PDN(US), American Photo(US), SHOTS(UK) and Photographie(Germany). He was the final recipient of EM Art Emerging Artist Grant 2009(South Korea), which resulted in his first solo show in South Korea in 2010 and he recently has been selected as one of the finalists for Emerging Focus 2013, Photo LA. He currently lives and works in Los Angeles, US.
