Thank You!

As you can see, the last post I made was way way back in March talking a little bit about the need to help Japan.

Thank You. Thank You. Thank You.

It is with all of your support we were able to sell 1,325 prints to over 1,000 people raising $60,000 to give to two organizations on the ground and working in Japan to aid in the recovery efforts. Direct Relief International and Habitat for Humanity benefitted from your generosity.

It is an honor to work with such a generous community of artists. Over 300 artists donated images, and a huge thanks to the Los Angeles photo community for its help in prepping and packing prints – Aline Smithson, Karen Florek, Noelle Gilbert, Nancy Baron, Jonas Yip, Dan Shepherd, Cat Gwynn, Michael Kirchoff, Robbie Kaye, Shay McAtee, Kathleen Laria McLaughlin. I couldn’t have done it without your help. Patricia, my lovely and talented assistant, I could not have made it through this without you.

This has been an amazing experience, one I will truly cherish. It shows me the power of community, of photography and most of all the generosity of spirit. We are better when we band together for a common cause.

There are still prints available, please log onto our website and peruse the Life Support Japan galleries to see what photographic treats we still have available.

I cannot thank all of you enough for supporting me, the gallery and our cause.
